Paediatric & Perinatal First Aid Course (FREE for Members ONLY)

This innovative course is designed for new and expectant parents and is delivered in partnership with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE). Our educators will guide parents through an interactive and engaging paediatric first aid training session, followed by education and evidence-based resources that will help Mums and Dads build their support networks and look after their own emotional wellbeing throughout pregnancy and early parenthood too. Some of the topics we will cover in this 4 hour course include:
Infant and child CPR
Burns
Choking
Drowning
Allergies
Fractures
Head injuries
Bleeding
Fevers
Poisoning
Bites & Stings
Asthma & Croup
The Transition to Parenthood
Emotional Wellbeing
Understanding Depression & Anxiety
Community Resources & Support for Mums and Dads
And more

Babies and breastfeeding are welcome at all of our sessions. Parents can practice their new skills and there will be time for questions too! 

Please register each person attending (eg both members of a couple if you are both coming). With the length of the session it is not suitable for toddlers to come along.
